A good visit starts with clear arrangements. This page explains what to check when booking a day visit, accommodation, a Spa appointment, a function, transport or a volunteer placement at Lion & Cheetah Sanctuary.
Start with an enquiry
Send your preferred date, the number of adults and children, and the experience or accommodation you have in mind. Include children’s ages and any access, dietary or other practical requirements that affect the arrangements. A website form starts a conversation; it does not hold a date or confirm availability.
Check the written confirmation
Before accepting a booking, check the date and time, guest numbers, the accommodation or service, what is included, what costs extra and the total amount. Ask for any deposit, payment due dates and cancellation conditions in writing. Keep your quotation, confirmation and payment correspondence together.
Prices, inclusions and payment
Rates shown on the website are a guide until confirmed for your dates and group. Accommodation types have different meal arrangements and activity inclusions. Spa appointments, shuttle journeys and additional experiences need their own confirmation unless your quotation specifically includes them. Use the payment instructions supplied with your booking and verify an unexpected change of banking details through a known sanctuary contact.
Changes and cancellations
Contact the team as soon as you need to change or cancel an arrangement, quoting your booking reference and dates. A new date, different guest count or revised service depends on availability and may require a revised quotation. Ask about the cancellation and refund arrangements attached to your booking before paying. Cancellation charges and refund arrangements are subject to applicable South African consumer law.
Arrival and participation
Confirm the correct entrance directions and your arrival time before travelling. There is a gravel-road section on the approach. Tell the team if you may arrive late. Check the suitability and participation requirements for children and any separately arranged experience. Follow the guide’s instructions and the boundaries explained at the sanctuary.
The animals and the setting
Animals follow their own rhythms. A particular sighting, behaviour, call or meeting with a named person cannot be assumed. Weather, animal care and operational conditions may affect the programme. If an arrangement needs to change, speak to the team about the options available for your booking.
